About Murtha
Originally established by Michael Murtha as an independent contractor in 1978, Murtha Construction had grown by 1984 into a full-service, home improvement company, fully incorporated under the laws of New York state.
Under direct control of sole owner, Michael Murtha, sales began rapidly increasing, eventually necessitating a move in 1994 to a 4,500 square-foot warehouse and office suite complex in West Islip, New York. With a customer base comprised of over 1,500 satisfied repeat customers, Murtha’s staff has grown to include a Production Manager, Director of Building Efficiency, IT Staff, Field Supervisors, Lead Carpenters, Junior Carpenters, Assistants, Office Manager and office staff.
Today, Murtha Construction and Murtha Insulation maintain a large stock inventory of commonly used building products to supply our 10-truck fleet of construction vehicles. Additionally, our continuously updated computer systems enable us to provide both standardized estimating procedures and job cost tracking, ensuring our customers the best possible home remodeling services at the best possible price.
